Our Process
Design Consultation:
At the initial consultation in the showroom we will talk through the design brief. It is important we fully understand your requirements, your likes and dislikes, your ideas and vision for your space, and discuss your budget.
Site Visit
After the consultation we will ask for an engagement fee before arranging to come out to your home to view your existing bathroom or kitchen, take measurements and photographs.
Presentation:
Depending of preference we will present your new kitchen/bathrooms on a CAD program either via video conference or in the showroom. You will be able to view all aspects of your new space in 3D allowing you to visualise the design and how the space would work for you, related quotes will be provided at this point.
Order:
Once your design and quotation have been agreed any changes to the design may incur extra costs.
A lead time of 6-8 weeks is to be expected, depending on the specification of your order.

Once your order is confirmed, working drawings will be produced together with a work specification that details the exact requirement of the project. This will be for the installers to use to make sure that what we have sold is implemented.

What do I need to bring to the design consultation and how long does it take?
A simple floor plan of your existing room and an idea book of interior styles, taken from magazines, Instagram, Pinterest or similar, is useful to bring but not necessary.
Using the showroom displays and our customer gallery, our designers will ensure they understand who will be using the bathroom, your preferred bathroom style, your key requirements and how much you are looking to invest in your project. The initial design consultation is free of charge and usually takes around one hour per room.
What does the engagement fee cover?
The Engagement fee is due after the initial free design consultation in the showroom before we visit site and commence the design and product specification work. This fee covers for the initial site visit and initiate the design process. During the home visit we will measure the existing room, taking care to note any factors that may influence the final design scheme. It also includes the presentation of your new bathroom in the showroom.
Can I modify the bathroom design after the quotation has been confirmed?
Once your design and quotation have been agreed any changes to the design may incur extra costs.
What happens if I want to take away the design after the presentation but before paying the deposit?
Should you wish to take away the design, prior to paying the bathroom deposit this can be arranged for £800 per bathroom.
The payment to release your design is non-refundable, but fully deductible from the balance of the full order with InStil Design.
What is included in the installation package for the bathroom design service?
We will include a comprehensive installation pack to your chosen installer and up to a maximum of 3 site visits with every full-service bathroom supplied. Each installation pack include 2D Auto CAD drawings: 1 x floor plan including detailed electrical and lighting plan and 4 x elevations, fitters item list and 4 x CAD renders.
What is the estimated lead time for the bathroom design process?
After visiting your home, we will invite you back to the showroom to present our plans for your new bathroom. This will be within 2 to 4 weeks from the site visit depending on the complexity of the project.
